Classes

Past Tense offers a variety of class formats and levels, allowing new and longtime students to progress at their own pace under the supervision of certified instructors. Classes are one hour, unless otherwise noted. The following is a brief description of each format. Some students find that one style suits them better while others enjoy the benefits of a more integrated approach.

Ahh-some
These peaceful classes take an ease-ful approach to both basic and challenging poses for students who are starting a new practice, healing from an injury or seeking a blissful experience.

Jivamukti
A vigorous and challenging form of vinyasa asana practice (flowing postures). Original scriptures are cited, Sanskrit is chanted and meditation is part of every class. This class is taught by a bilingual instructor fluent in both English and Spanish

Let It Flow
This vinyasa style class offers a flowing, dynamic form of yoga that connects the breath or pranayama to the movement.

Strong Hold
This athletic, hatha-style class features static poses that builds strength, flexibility and endurance.

Happy Hour
Start the weekend off right with an energizing workout on Friday evenings set to Top 40, Alternative hits or R&B. The format of the class changes with each instructor.

Date Night
Your yoga practice is just too good not to share so now both you and your significant other can enjoy the benefits of this fun, vinyasa-style class. Don’t worry if you have a regular practice and your S.O. doesn’t. All levels welcome. And, after you’ve worked, stretched and relaxed on the mat head to Radius with a Date Night discount in hand. It’s enough to make you say, “Bliss me, you fool.”

Detox
The flip side to our Friday Happy Hour class, this session will bring you into balance and leave you relaxed, renewed and refreshed for the week ahead. This class is open to all levels.

Yoga En Español
La clase consiste en la práctica de 12 asanas básicas, el saludo del sol (Surya Namaskar) y el control de la respiración (Pranayama). Después de la clase se sentirá vigorizado, más enfocado y con buenas energías para iniciar el día.

Virgin Yoga
This periodically-held workshop introduces students to the different styles of yoga and the basic poses so he or she can enjoy a level 1 class and know just what a Down Dog is.

Prenatal Yoga
This gentle class for pregnant women is designed for safe practice to enhance and support the experience of pregnancy and birth. Breathe, stretch, relax, and enjoy the miracle of new life.

Om School
These hatha-style classes help kids gain mental and physical flexibility through movement, focused stillness, storytelling and relaxation. Students should wear loose exercise clothing — no jeans, khakis or school uniforms, which may restrict movement.

Private Sessions
