About
Whether it’s the physical or mental stress of everyday life, we are dedicated to moving you past these tensions and toward a stronger body, mind and spirit. We believe there are many ways to achieve this balance and embrace a blend of the yogic traditions. We aspire to provide a fun, creative, welcoming space, which honors the ancient practice of yoga, while encouraging our instructors and students to develop a yoga practice that is relevant to their modern lives.
Located in the historic Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, DC, we offer a variety of formats from the flowing style of vinyasa to a power yoga format focused on building strength through holding static poses. We provide classes for all levels so both newbies and advanced students may expand in their practice. And, we aim to meet the needs of the diverse Mt. Pleasant community whether it’s through Yoga in Spanish, prenatal classes or workshops for runners.
Past Tense is located at 3253 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, NW in Washington, DC. Located just three blocks from the Columbia Heights Metro, the studio is accessed easily from the Yellow and Green lines, as well as the 16th Street (S2, S4, S9) bus lines.
